USA vs. Canada Preview
Alright all you US soccer fanatics and American Outlaws, tomorrow is the moment we have all been waiting for since the World Cup for the US came to a close. The USA is coming off an embarrassing 4-0 rout all thanks to the World Cup Champion Spain in Boston. Now, the USA will be rolling into Detroit with a full squad and regular starters on the pitch at the first whistle. After seeing the dismantling that Mexico handed El Salvador, it is obvious that they are indeed the favorites for the competition. With ManU superstar "Chicharito" on their side, it will take a effort like no other for the Yanks to come away with the Cup.
After winning their group that included England, in the World Cup, the Americans will be coming in with high expectations and deservedly so. The Yanks are bringing in a strong squad with a healthy again Donovan, Dempsey who has had a great year with Fulham in the EPL, and an Agudelo who looks very promising. While the US squad is very healthy this go around, we are missing a vital player in Stuart Holden and his defense will be sorely missed. Bob Bradley will have alot to prove coming into the Gold Cup and an early exit for Mr. Bradley could also mean his future with the team would be in doubt.
What squad can we expect???
You can expect the strongest squad that Bob feels he can field on Tuesday against Canada. There won't be any experimenting like there was against Spain. Now that these games have meaning to them, Bob will be willing to pull out all the stops.
